Back by Popular Demand is how Dominic describes the reason why this is NOT the final season that the Haygoods are in Branson. It’s easy to see why this show has been around for so long. This multi-talented family really knows how to put on a show. They have been a Branson favorite for over 17 years now and since they received an overwhelming response to their leaving Branson, they decided to stay. They will cut their number of shows from 200 to about 90 according to Music City management.
Their show opened strong with six of the brothers singing “How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You” with wonderful harmony and high energy. A few more songs like “Here I Come” and “Sugar Pie Honey Bunch” and it was time to bring out their sister, Catherine. Patrick, Dominic, Shawn, Michael, Matthew, Catherine, & Aaron sang, danced, played multiple instruments and entertained their hearts out.
We sat and listened to everything from Beatles songs
played on violins, to sweet acappella doo-wop
songs “Blue Moon” and “Still of the Night”.
We heard Swing, Gospel, 50’s, 60’s, Country, and Beach Boys.
A nice surprise for the night was hearing “Under the Sea” from
Disney’s Little Mermaid and when Catherine played the Irish Harp while he
brother Michael sang “Danny Boy.
Brothers Patrick, Dominic, Shawn, & Michael put on their tap shoes and showed us more of their unlimited talent. Dominic, Catherine, and Aaron really know how to make their saxophones wail. Even the “Blues Brothers” made an appearance – riding a segway and dropping in from the ceiling. (Quite a sight) The end of the show came all too quickly as we heard them singing “God Bless America”.
