Tony Roi - Elvis Experience
Went to the Tony Roi – Elvis Experience, last night.
It was definitely an experience. I
went to the show, expecting to see Tony impersonating Elvis – it’s what he
did last time I saw him in the Legends show several years ago.
Instead I saw Tony Roi doing a tribute to Elvis show.
Tony has all the moves of Elvis, as was evident from the women screaming
in the audience whenever he shook his hips or did the classic Elvis knee twitch. Tony sang lots of Elvis classics like, That’s All Right,
Little Sister, Heartbreak Hotel, All Shook Up, Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, and
Don’t be Cruel. He also sang
songs made famous by Tom Jones –
I’ll Never Fall In Love Again and A Woman’s Touch, as well as Engelbert
Humperdinck’s A Man Without Love. Tony
also sang a song he wrote that went gold in Europe – Back On The Road Again. It was wonderful hearing all the songs Elvis had made
popular in a voice style indistinguishable from Elvis himself.
At 8:45 pm, the show stopped and audience members were invited to join
Tony on stage to get their picture taken with Tony by a photographer.
These pictures are available for sale after the show.
This lasted till 9:00 pm when Tony took a 15 min intermission. When the show started up again Tony came out singing Viva
Las Vegas and the crowd really got into the energy on stage.
Tony was having fun with the band several times throughout the show,
making jokes. Nearing the close of
the show, we heard the Gospel song, How Great Thou Art and his talented backup
singers, Stephanie McKinney and Donna Rastofer got a chance to sing solo songs. The show closed with 3 Elvis hits, Burning Love, Suspicious
Minds, and Fools Rush In. Overall,
I’ll say it again, it was an experience – a Tony Roi Experience! To make sure you get a chance to see the show, go to BransonQuicktix.com
