Breaking Up Is Hard To Do 2009

Breaking up is hard to do is reminicent of Little Shop of Horrors or a stage production of Dirty Dancing. It is a musical production that tells a story of love lost, found, lost again - only to find true love in the end. It's Memorial day weekend at Esther's Paradise. We are the guests and the story unfolds before us. The best part is that the songs you hear are all Neil Sedaka songs that we have all heard at one time or another.

Our story begins with the guests of a vacation club - that would be us - watching a stage show featuring Del DelMonaco and Harvey Feldman. They open singing "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" and "Lonely Night Angel Face".  They find a couple of girls in the audience to come on stage and we are introduced to Margie and Lois.  The story unfolds as we discover Lois was left at the alter.  She took her best friend Margie on what was to be her honeymoon.  The two girls wind up in some crazy antics as the weekend progresses.  I won't give away the ending but will tell you that this show is worth every penny.  This is one of those Branson Hidden Gems and I encourage you all to see this show for a wonderful night of song, dance, and entertainment.

The show also features a live 4 piece band playing the music, no canned music in this show.  A few more of the songs you'll hear are "Solitaire", King Of Clowns", "Calander Girl", "Next Door To An Angel", "Sweet Sixteen", "Stupid Cupid", and "Love Will Keep Us Together".  What I loved most about this show was how the story before you was complimented by each song sung.
